A Message To Our Customers

As you may know, the mayor of Waco has issued an order restricting the operations of certain types of businesses. Professional real estate services, including title companies, are defined as an Essential Businesses and may remain open.

First Title is open for business — we will continue to accept new contracts, conduct closings as scheduled, and continue to provide all title services to our customers. However, we are currently altering some of our business procedures to fulfil First Title’s top priority of taking care of our Customers.

Pre-Closing Procedures:
Contract Pickup. As always, our staff is available upon request to come to any customer or agent to pick up and receipt contracts, earnest money or other documents.

E-mail Orders. We can accept orders via email. Email any staff member at First Title.

Wire Earnest Money. Should you want to wire earnest money, we can provide you wiring instructions by calling or emailing any staff member at First Title.

Pre-Closing Calls. Our staff will call Customers prior to the closing to explain our new procedures. Additionally, we will remind Customers experiencing symptoms or who have been exposed to individuals who are to not come to our offices.

Closing Procedures:
Scheduled Closings. We will be scheduling Buyers and Sellers separately and at least 30 minutes apart to limit exposure to one another. Customers should ONLY come at their scheduled time. Our lobby will be closed to all persons who do not have a scheduled appointment.
Limited Attendees Requested. We suggest that only SIGNERS attend the closing in an effort to minimize how many people are in our offices. Lenders, agents and non-signing parties should consider physically not attending a closing.

Office Sanitizing Procedures. Our staff will clean and sanitize closing tables, chairs, door knobs, and anything else that the Customers may have come in contact with, after each closing.

First Title is thankful for the opportunity to continue to provide responsive, prompt and excellent service to Central Texas property owners.
